Brittany Behnen

Brittany Behnen thought a teaching gig (and the accompanying summers off) might be a good career path…and then she got a microscope kit. Her love of science grew as she put everything from water samples to flies to bugs on slides, to figure out how the world around her worked.

Fast forward to eighth grade, when a visiting “lecturer”, if you will, offered weekly sessions on personal finance, and her interest was piqued (note: what a forward-thinking school! At HTWMSL we are big fans of financial education, the younger the better!) She began studying business, and financial planning, and planned to become an advisor. But then that old yearning to “figure it all out” came back, and Brittany followed a path of operations management: looking at all the pieces to make everything work better!

She can’t imagine herself anywhere else…except, perhaps, with a bit more time to snuggle her baby daughter. Brittany is a BIG Halloween costume fan, creating elaborate story-telling costumes for her husband (not a fan) and now the baby…make sure you ask for a picture.

Brittany is an avid gardener and her long-term dream is to share a farm, acres of land, with her husband—to grow a garden of flowers and veggies and fruit. That vision of well-th is currently being played out on a smaller scale, in her backyard garden and in time spent with her family and her self-appointed “Perfect Dog”, a German Shepard people-puppy!
